Chipping & Mulching done properly
On-site chipping is included with our removal, pruning and clearing work, and we also run it as a standalone service. If you have cut your own trees, cleared lantana or are left with storm debris across the yard, we bring the chipper and process it all.
Fresh wood chip is excellent mulch for garden beds, paths and around fruit trees. It holds moisture, suppresses weeds and breaks down to feed the soil. Most clients keep it. If you do not want it, we take it away.
Large timber can be cut into firewood lengths and stacked, or removed with the green waste.

Can I keep the mulch?
Yes, and most people do. We can dump it in a pile or spread it where you want it.
Is fresh wood chip safe for gardens?
Yes as a surface mulch. Keep it a little away from the stems of young plants and it will break down and improve the soil over time.
Do you chip palm fronds?
Palm fronds are fibrous and can be hard on chippers. We usually remove them separately. We will advise at the quote.
I called Ability this morning to see if I could get a quote on the removal of two smallish trees and a palm tree. They came within half an hour, and were able to do the job straight away. 20 minutes later they were finished, and they removed all evidence of them having been there. Tidy, professional and prompt.
